EMILY K. HOWARD

Executive Director

Emily was named Executive Director of Economic Forum in December 2024 and is focused on creating connections, member retention and recruitment, curating programs and events, and building relationships in the community. Born and raised in Albuquerque, Emily is the Founder/President of Cheetah Strategy, where she provides strategic planning and brand consulting services. Her career spans over 25 years leading brand and business strategy for organizations like Visit Albuquerque and the Indian Pueblo Cultural Center, where she served as Vice President. Emily also honed her expertise at renowned marketing agencies including McKee Wallwork, Esparza, and DDB Worldwide in Dallas.

Passionate about bringing ideas to life and fostering collaboration, Emily is a driving force in the Albuquerque community. She co-founded the “Start Bragging” movement to celebrate the city and co-hosts the “Positive Not Perfect” radio show on KKOB. Her commitment to her community extends to her service on various boards, including United Way’s Executive Committee and the 505 Sports Venture Foundation. A proud TCU alum and letterwinner, Emily enjoys spending time with her family and staying active.

COURTNEY JACKSON

Executive Assistant

Courtney is a dedicated and versatile leader with a passion for community engagement and nonprofit support. Her diverse background includes law, business, healthcare, and education, culminating in her role as Executive Assistant for Economic Forum starting January 2025. In this part-time position, she will provide administrative support to the Executive Director, and assist with bookkeeping, member database management, board communications, and more. A graduate of the University of New Mexico with degrees in biochemistry and law, Courtney’s professional experience spans sales, marketing, and stakeholder management. This makes her adept at building meaningful partnerships and delivering results-driven initiatives. Inspired by her daughters, she is an active community leader focused on supporting student and family organizations. Her commitment to education is evident through her service on the Albuquerque Public Schools Board of Education, where she advocates for improved student outcomes and community representation in decision-making. Courtney thrives in team settings and is proud to contribute to organizations dedicated to community and economic development.

RYAN SCHAEFER

Hospitality Coordinator
Ryan brings a passion for hospitality, event planning, marketing, and community engagement to his role as Hospitality Coordinator at the Economic Forum starting January 2025. In this part-time position, he will be responsible for event planning and management, member communications, and website administration/marketing. With over a decade of experience coordinating events, managing teams, and building meaningful connections, Ryan excels at creating impactful and memorable experiences. Born and raised in Albuquerque, he is thrilled to be back in his hometown, helping bring business and other leaders together to strengthen the community and economy. Outside of work, you’ll find Ryan in the kitchen, on the pickleball court, or wobbling through a yoga class.
